My name is Shelley Gough. I have been married to Tim Gough, an assistant principal at Dexter Elementary, for 25 years. We have two little boys, Cody 12 and Colton 11.
I graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2007 with a Masters in Administration and Supervision, North Carolina University in 2006 with a Masters in Theology, the University of Memphis in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Education, and Shelby State Community College with an Associate of Science degree.
I come from Austin Peay Elementary where I have taught several grades 4th, 5th and 6th. I taught at Lighthouse Christian Academy and prior to that with the DOD (Department of Defense) schools in the European division, England.
My goal is to graciously encourage every student, correct them lovingly, and instruct them patiently. I hope that each student will leave our school not only academically more advanced, but with a higher self-esteem and level of confidence as well. Learning, in my opinion, is not just information passed on; it is one life invested in another. My objective is for each student to excel and exceed their fullest potential.
When I am not at school, one can usually find me in the garden or playing Uno with my family.
